Fahad’s ‘Transactions’ Article
Fahad Al-Amoudi is one of the contributors to an article published by the Royal Historical Society titled Runaways London: Historical Research, Archival Silences and Creative Voices.
Written alongside Kate Birch and Simon P. Newman, the article explores how popular historical knowledge and understanding can be deepened by collaboration between historians, creative artists, and editors, publishers and those who support and develop the creative arts.
The article takes the contributors’ Runaways London collaboration as a case study, exploring how the creative work of poets and artists can deepen our understanding of race and slavery in British history, beyond that which could be achieved by historical research and writing alone.
