Ruby (she/her) is a Yorkshire-born poet, writer and performer now based in Glasgow. Her previous work includes The Yellow Wallpaper (The Omnibus Theatre, 2018), Pillow Talk (Camden People’s Theatre, 2017/18) and Here and Now dir. John Godber (Hull City of Culture, various venues, 2017). Her 2018 short film Skipping Lunch was nominated for two awards at Underwire Film Festival. Her 2023 silent film sounding skin screened at soundpedro.

Her poetry has been published by Propel, Gutter, The Moth Magazine, Pilot Press and others, and in 2023 she was shortlisted for the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry (performance category). Her prose has been published by Mycelia.

In 2023 she published a poetry/art book called Brave Dog, which contains work from seven Glasgow-based writers/artists.
