Plays and Prizes for Tife
New Yorkshire Squad writer Tife Kusoro has been selected as an actor/deviser for Talawa Theatre Company’s TYPT:18 to create a new immersive show about black club/rave culture and the power of music to connect and divide. The performancetook place in Hackney Showroom in London this August.
She is also writing a short play for a showcase by Monkey Don’t Theatre, one of four plays focus on life in a 21st Century British City on the 22nd of September at Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. Details here.
This is all on top of winning this year’s Alison Morland Poetry Prize at the University of Leeds. Her poem is going to be displayed in the University library and published in the English Department’s Poetry and Audience magazine.
