From Hive To Hatch
The Squad is delighted to have supported HIVE South Yorkshire’s Vicky Morris in securing Arts Council England funding to pilot Hatch. The year long programme, buildfs on the current HIVE programme and offers next step opportunities for young writers aged 18 to 30 to progress their practice through exploring new skills and experiences.
HIVE will also be working with community partners on new projects and launching a Yorkshire-wide magazine/journal online that will involve young writers as guest editors and creative journalists, open to all (14-30 years) for submissions during the year.
Squad Director Steve Dearden is a member of HIVE’s steering group, alongside Becky Swain from the Arvon Foundation and Maxine Greaves from Sheffield Hallam University.
