Tife and Laura Encounter

Current Squad members Tife Kusoro and Laura Potts were writers in residence at Yorkshire Dance’s 3-day mini festival celebrating women, Encounters. The event brought together audiences and participants of all ages, providing a forum for debate about issues affecting women in and beyond the creative industries.

Hannah Robertshaw and Antony Dunn say, “Yorkshire Dance was delighted to invite Squad members Tife and Laura to embed themselves in our Encounters festival. Tife and Laura attended performances, talks, workshops and other events, and were commissioned to respond, in any way they were inspired to. Their responses will be published on Yorkshire Dance’s website before the next Encounters festival in June 2019. We look forward to welcoming more Squad members to respond to future Encounters. The next festival takes place on 28 and 29 June and will explore gender identity.”
