Prerana at Asia House Poetry Slam

Squad writer Prerana Kumar performed this month at the finals of the Asia House Poetry Slam 2019. The final eight – Kate Dickens, Amina Ali, Mayura U, Zahra, Michelle Nathan, Aman Grover and Prerana – are all aspiring poets and spoken word artists aged 18 –25, and will be performing poetry that examines some aspect of Asia or the Asian diaspora.

Judges for the evening were poet and artist Imtiaz Dharker and third Young People’s Laureate for London Theresa Lola, who also performed their own poetry.
