The Stories We Tell About Black Lives

May Sumbwanyambe has been commissioned by Traverse Theatre to deliver a wide-ranging video essay, using his personal experiences to explore the concerning portrayal of Black people in the media. Now available online, May’s 12 minute essay has been created on behalf of the Institute of advanced studies in Humanities at University of Edinburgh, for Black History month.
