May Selected for Scottish Drama Writers’ Programme

We’re excited to share that May Sumbwanyambe has been selected for the Scottish Drama Writers’ Programme 2021!

Helmed by Screen Scotland, BBC Drama Commissioning and BBC Writersroom, the programme pairs Scottish-based writers with Independent Production companies to produce bold new drama for the BBC.

May has been partnered with Two Rivers Media , a Glasgow based company headed up by Alan Clements.

The aim of the programme is for writers to produce a script to be taken to full development with the BBC, and in the long-term to establish working relationships and support Scotland’s wider broadcast industry.
