Jay Commissioned by Humber Mouth Literature Festival

Jay Mitra has been commissioned by Humber Mouth Literature Festival 2021.

Their spoken word poem ‘A Love Letter to Hull’ details the way the city has changed over time, and shaped their life. Littered with Hull-specific references and vivid imagery, it paints a picture of what it was like to be an immigrant adopted by a working class British city.

The Humber Mouth Literature Festival has been produced by Hull city council since 1992, and has become a major part of the city’s literary life and development.
