Elizabeth Commissioned by Islington Mill

Elizabeth Gibson has been commissioned by Islington Mill in Salford as part of their ongoing heritage work. She will be responding creatively to research about Workers’ Rights, exploring how rights and trade unions have developed over time, both within the Mill’s history and in the broader context of the global textile trade and workers’ rights today. The final project will be shared at a launch event in Summer 2022, joining the Mill’s Heritage Timeline alongside a range of other creative projects.
