Gregory and Hannah win Northern Writers Awards

Both Hannah Hodgson and Gregory Kearns took home accolades at the 2022 Northern Writers Awards.

Hannah was awarded the Northern Writer’s Award for Poetry, and Gregory the Northern Debut Award for Poetry.

Gregory is currently working on his debut collection about grief, masculinity and otters, whilst Hannah’s new pamphlet I always Fall in Love Inside Hospitals is due to be published by Broken Sleep in September.

Established in 2000, the awards support writers across the North of England to develop creatively, as well as helping them make professional progress and navigate the publishing industry. The full list of this year’s winners can be found here.
