Jay joins BBC Words First Cohort

Jay Mitra is part of the 2022 BBC Words First cohort – a talent development scheme for emerging spoken word talent produced by BBC 1Extra and the BBC Contains Strong Language festival.

This year, Apples and Snakes and Young Identity are partnering with the BBC to deliver the scheme, which culminates in a talent showcase performance at the Contains Strong Language Festival 2022 in Birmingham.
