Jay Wins Bronze Creative Future Writers’ Award

Jay Mitra has won Bronze in the category Creative Non-Fiction for the Creative Future Writers’ Award 2023.

Founded in 2013, the Creative Future Writers’ Award is an annual development programme for talented writers from a wealth of backgrounds.This year they received over 1,300 entries from underrepresented writers across the country.

Jay’s story, “I liked the way the world looked at me when I was in the closet” will be published in Creative Future’s newest anthology which you can order here.

There will be a celebratory event, the Creative Future Writers’ Award Showcase, on Friday 20 October at the Southbank Centre.
