Katie Commissioned by Coventry

Squad grad Katie Walters has been commissioned by Coventry City of Culture 2021 to produce new art on the strange histories of museum objects. As a recipient of a Reform the Norm commission, Katie will be partnered with the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum’s natural history collection.

“When I tweeted earlier this year that I wanted to expand my practice into working with museum collections, I didn’t think I’d get to actually do it! I feel very fortunate that Unlimited and City of Culture have chosen to give me a rare opportunity to experiment in a new field,” said Katie.
