Katie Directs New Film

Squad grad Katie Byford has finished directing her latest short film, YOU LOOK FINE.

The film is a sensory exploration of life with PTSD, set during a doctor’s appointment in which Syd reveals she has recently been assaulted.

Using experimental sound and a surreal storytelling to recreate the experience of PTSD, the film aims to examine the everyday impact of sexual trauma. With a script endorsed by Rape Crisis, Katie wants this film to shed light on the lived experience of rape survivors, through the story of a moment in one person’s life.

Katie is currently raising funds for the film’s post-production via Indiegogo.
