Lydia Begins Poetry Residency

Squad 7 grad Lydia Allison has been selected by Hive South Yorkshire as the first Young Poet in Residence at The Point (home of Doncaster Arts).

During her residency, Lydia will be running creative writing workshops and writing poems in response to the exhibitions programme at Darts. She will work with adult groups who use the building regularly and open sessions up to the general public.

Doncaster Young Writers, based at The Point, will also get involved, and the residency will end with a publication showcasing some of the work from the project.

Lydia said, “I’m really excited for this opportunity! It’s fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to all the creative possibilities that will come from the exhibitions.”
