Pearl Talks Theatre
Squad grad Pearl Andrews-Horrigan has written a piece for Rife Magazine on the increased accessibility of the theatre industry during lockdown. “With a sudden flurry of online show streams, free workshops on Zoom and virtual Q&As, the industry strangely feels more accessible than ever before. This has particularly been to the benefit of regional theatremakers…and aspiring actors, writers and directors who face financial barriers to breaking into the industry. But will theatre become so unrecognisable that this all becomes fruitless anyway?” asks Pearl.
Meanwhile, Pearl has also been longlisted for KickItDown Productions’ recent Radio Monologues callout for her short, Immigration Status. The production company asked for monologues that would work in a radio format, using soundscapes and imagery to invigorate a listeners imagination.
