Pearl’s Monologue Shortlisted by Young Pleasance

Current North East Squad member Pearl Andrews-Horrigan has been shortlisted in the Young Pleasance London playwrighting competition.

Pearl’s is one of 20 monologues that will be performed by the Young Pleasance London company at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington, in December 2018 as their inaugural production. After this performance, 1 monologue will then be selected as the foundation of a new play to be devised, developed and performed by the same company in 2019. The writer of this winning play will be invited to join the company as resident playwright – from research and development workshops, through to rehearsals, and finally to the production itself in spring 2019.
