Spit Out the Myth

Warda Yassin is one of three Sheffield poets published in the anthology Spit Out the Myth, a collaboration between Off the Shelf and The Poetry Business.

With Danae Wellington and Sile Sabanda, and an introduction by Désirée Reynolds, the collection resulted from the 2021 event Black Women Write Now for Off the Shelf (which Reynolds curated). The poems in the book bring to life stories of migration and change, explored through family roots, mythical tales and life in the City of Sheffield.
