Katie Huggins
Katie is a writer from Australia. She joined the Writers Squad in 2014 while on exchange in Sheffield. Katie writes prose and screenplays for film and TV. She graduated Wollongong University with degrees in Creative Writing and History, and works in film and TV production.
In 2021 Katie was the winner of the AACTA and Screenworks AACTA Pitch: Regional Landscapes comp. Katie’s work has been published online including in SWAMP magazine, The QUO, Jotters United and Writing Junction, amongst other Zine publications. Katie was a resident at the Can Serrat Artist Residency in Spain.
Katie’s work is based on strong female characters, and she has been working on writing a first novel as well as a screenplay.
