Megan Jones is a writer based in East Yorkshire. Her fiction has appeared in publications including Litro, Reflex Fiction, Writers’ Forum, Seaside Gothic and Bending Genres. She has non-fiction writing published in Corridor8, Aesthetica Magazine, Mag North and Review31, amongst others. She is the winner of the Writers’ & Artists’ Short Story Competition 2024, and she has previously been shortlisted for The Mairtín Crawford Short Story Award and the Word Factory Northern Apprentice Award.
She holds a BA in Linguistics and an MA in Creative Writing, graduating with Distinction in September 2022. She is a first-year PhD student in English with Creative Writing at the University of York. She is researching the uncanny and the folkloric in contemporary short fiction and working on her first collection.
