Tife Shortlisted by Paines Plough

Squad grad Tife Kusoro has been shortlisted by Paines Plough for their inaugural Women’s Prize for Playwriting.

The theatre company received  1,169 submissions to the Prize.  70 plays were longlisted, and Tife’s was among the 35 plays that have made it to the shortlist. They will be announcing the 6-8 finalists and winners in the autumn. Paines Plough will be compiling profiles of all the longlisted plays from this year and cataloguing them on the Women’s Prize website to act as a resource for programmers, producers, directors and other creatives.

The winning playwright will receive £12,000 in respect of an exclusive option for EKP and Paines Plough to co-produce the winning play.
